ASHLEY N. VELASQUEZ

Growing up in South Florida, Ashley Velasquez learned that each of us has the privilege and responsibility to give back to our communities. Working as a Youth Volunteer for her local American Red Cross chapter, she observed that no matter the capacity of one’s bank accounts, every person could make a difference for their neighbors. Now, Ashley brings nearly 20 years of nonprofit experience to establish Philanthropic Support Services. 

Following her passion to guide nonprofits in building enduring relationships with their donors and volunteers, Ashley wants to help business owners, individuals, and families learn how to leverage their philanthropic support to generate greater satisfaction for them and greater impact for their favorite charities.

As a nonprofit professional, Ashley has raised more than $8.5M through her work with annual fund campaigns, grant writing, major gifts, volunteer and board management, special events, capital campaigns, and establishing fund development offices for new nonprofit organizations. She has served with a diverse range of nonprofit organizations including American Red Cross-Southeast Louisiana Chapter (New Orleans, LA), Girl Scouts of Central Texas (Austin, TX), Texas Medical Association Foundation (Texas), and Montessori For All (Nationwide).

Ashley earned her B.A. in Communication and B.A. in History from Tulane University, Newcomb College in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and currently serves on her local chapter’s membership committee. Ashley lives in Austin, TX with her husband and three children. They enjoy exploring Austin’s many trails, watching movies at the Alamo Drafthouse, and traveling to explore new places.
